Valentyna Bohuslov: Survival and Hope
Names: Valentyna (Mother) and Vitalii (Son, 1st Group Disabled)
Hometown: Bakhmut, Ukraine
Bakhmut was once home, but war transformed their world into a daily struggle for survival. Without electricity, water, or gas, they survived in a basement under constant shelling. Vitalii’s severe injury changed everything — he was critically wounded, leaving him bedridden with serious spinal injuries.
Their journey took them through multiple cities: from Konstantynivka to Dnipro, then Lviv and Zolochiv. They finally found temporary shelter in Kotsyubynske, until good people helped them reach the Miracle Village.
Now in the Miracle Village, they’ve found comfort and support. While Vitalii cannot fully appreciate the new surroundings, Valentyna is grateful for the free, comfortable housing and the care they’ve received. Their new home represents hope after years of hardship.
