In March 2022, Mykola left Popasna alone, first finding refuge in Berdychiv. By late May, he moved to a displacement center in Dnipro, then to a modular town in Brovary. In October 2023, he arrived at the Miracle Village.

His home completely destroyed, Mykola found a new purpose. Now a volunteer in the village security community, he feels socially protected. Professional medical care, psychological support, and volunteer assistance have given him a chance to live a full life again.
