Before the war, Natalia lived alone in Bakhmut. The conflict since 2014 took a toll on her health, exacerbating chronic conditions like diabetes and reduced mobility. Isolated and struggling, she found hope through the internet, applying to Hansen’s Miracle Village project.

In the Miracle Village, Natalia discovered comprehensive care. Daily support from psychologists, social workers, and doctors improved her quality of life. Good living conditions and caring neighbors transformed her world, offering her hope and comfort in her final months. Sadly, Natalia passed away in winter 2024, leaving behind a memory of resilience and quiet dignity.
