Nina Pavlivna Chaikovska, 71 years old
Previously lived in: Nova Kakhovka, Kherson Oblast
Moved to Senior Chudo Village on: June 8, 2025, Apartment 6/1

Profession: Entrepreneur (market trader). Worked hard her entire life to support herself and her son. Independent and energetic.
Life before the war: Lived a quiet, self-sufficient life in Nova Kakhovka. After her son’s death, she was left alone but remained active. Grandchildren live abroad, with little contact.
Escape from war: Her apartment building was destroyed in 2022. She stayed with relatives temporarily but faced instability—moving between Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kryvyi Rih, often in difficult conditions. Learned about Senior Chudo Village from a cousin and persisted until she secured a place.
Life in Senior Chudo Village: Overwhelmed with joy when accepted. Calls it “a perfect place for seniors"—clean air, forest, peace, and thoughtful care in every detail.
Health: Group 2 disability. Severe knee pain limits mobility. Needs care but strives for independence. Emotional struggles—grieving her son, home, and health—would benefit from psychological support.
Future plans: “I no longer make plans.”
Advice to the young: “Live with dignity, without regrets. Be kind, live truthfully, and heed elders’ wisdom.”
Message to Dale Loe Hansen: “A kind-hearted man who did what many should have. Grateful beyond words for this chance to live—not just survive—with dignity.”
Needs of elderly displaced people: Housing, medical access, daily support, and companionship. “Even small gestures matter. We’re vulnerable but deserving of respect.”
Suggestions for the village: More social gatherings to combat loneliness.
