Life Before the War: Ihor studied at a military academy, served in the navy, and graduated from Kharkiv University in engineering. He worked in design, emergency services, and technical maintenance. “Life was full—work, invention, caring for my mother, and building a small enterprise.”

Displacement Experience: In 2022, war arrived suddenly. Ihor escaped under fire, boarding the last bus out. After months in Sievierodonetsk, he evacuated to Pokrovsk, then to Lviv, where he lived in a shelter for a year. Later, he moved to Ivankiv, but after his host passed away, he lived in temporary housing until discovering Chudo Village.

Before Chudo Village: “I lived without stability, with declining health. I didn’t want to be a burden, but I couldn’t manage alone anymore.”

Receiving the Call: “It was a beam of light. I’m not emotional by nature, but I felt real joy. Finally—peace.”

Impressions of the Village: “It’s orderly, cozy, and well-structured. I enjoy sharing my technical knowledge, especially in radio electronics. The atmosphere is calm and constructive.”

Health Status:

  • Benign brain tumor
  • Epileptic seizures and vision loss
  • Vascular issues Does not require psychological support.

Outlook & Advice: “I plan to contribute where I can—especially in technical matters.” To the youth: “It’s never too late to learn. Education is the foundation of character. Live honestly and with purpose.”
